This is my first post… obviously. Well, I should put in a little bit about myself. I am a recent transplant from Southern California and am now living in The Bay Area for school. This blog will be updated on a weekly-ish basis and will mostly cover the shit that goes on in my life. Living with seven (yes, that’s right, seven) roommates, going to a school that I never really wanted to go to in the first place and missing my friends from back home. But there are a few good things. I love to laugh and often find myself in funny adventures with a few of my roommates. I am adjusting to living with more people that I don’t like that much. I have a lot of family issues so they’ll be mentioned a few times. I am a huge art, music, and film fan (not that I have any measurable amount of talent in those fields) and can get excited about stuff. I tend to be elitist in terms of education and I have a very low stupidity tolerance. Saying that, I must let you know that I have very little common sense.

I hate very much the computer slang word “lol”. I love frozen yogurt and, as a very good friend of mine knows, I will go out on searches for the perfect cup of frozen yogurt. Adjectives and adverbs should not be confused in my presence; I don’t care about too much else in terms of grammar, but if somebody says something using such blindingly bad grammar that the speaker would have to have the intelligence of a 3 year old to speak like that, I will correct them and then move on with my life. I tend to be verbose. I love words like “meh” “gah” “eep” and “omgah”. Expect their usage frequently throughout this blog along with other words that I have forgotten or have yet to be invented.I expect that people who read this will be able to see all my flaws and commendable characteristics. Hopefully people will comment on them and I’ll know myself better. Not that I really care to change. I like myself very much and don’t feel a desperate need to be different.

For the most part I scoff at tradition and the idea of convention. I am an urban kind of person who considers living in the ‘burbs about as close to the seventh circle as one can get without being religious or religiously dead. I do love nature, especially the beach, and go on on impromptu expeditions into the woods and hills around the dorms. Oh, by the way, I’m gay. My comedic heroes are George Carlin, Demetri Martin, and Wanda Sykes.I guess, in the end, this is just me growing up. Trying to find my strength in the world and in myself. I’m finding things out everyday and I’m learning to take advantage of my fairly innate sense of independence.img_0445.jpg
